We gathered on a chilly-ish morning and started out with some of your Q’s favorite warm-ups: a pickle, some monkey humpers, good mornings, and imperial walkers.

Thing 1 (Blame an F3er for this one.)

In pairs, we took turns throwing logs of lovely Osage orange down the parking lot and back while the other half did a pickle before subbing in for us. Everyone completed about 3-4 lengths, switching sides to toss before ending with an overhead throw. (The key here is to throw back and not up. Because a log on the head would hurt.)

Thing 2

In the same pairs, we split in half again. One half did side lunges on one side, side lunges on the other, forward lunges, and squat jumps going forward. The other half did hangs from the monkey bars, tricep dips, step ups, and deadlifts with the logs. The lungers/squatters would finish one cycle then relieve their partners. We swapped out like that for four cycles, allowing everyone to do each set of exercises once.

With just a couple minutes to squeeze out a little more sweat, Rah-Rah voted for glutes over abs, so we did 30 seconds X 2 of fire hydrants and donkey kicks on each side. We ended with some stretching and COT:

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones that you did do. So throw off the bowline. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – H. Jackson Brown, Jr. (Not the singer; totally different dude.)

And last but not least, name-a-rama!
