We bid farewell to 38 & 49 with a birthday eve co-Q by Mary Lou and Crisco! Crisco got us started—probably bc she knew ML rarely makes it in on time from the pre-run 😬—with some movement and stretches and the disclaimer of course bc Crisco’s a good rule follower and leader! Tbh I don’t remember what she did bc I was still changing my shoes and such 🙊. Anyway it was really just a warm up for the warm up: 4 corners around the half track with 10 pushups of various types at each corner. Oh yeah, and a bonus set back at the start. Something about “and one to grow on” or something… Styles included Peter Parkers, alligator and a brutal “on my down and up” count that Crisco punished us with!

On to the Thang: (by ML) this was an ode to Crisco’s last day of 49 so we did 7 sets of 7s! We moseyed to the large parking lot and spread out, each person on a line. Our 7s were completed from one side of the parking lot to the other unless otherwise noted.

R1: squat jacks at both ends w/ sprints

R2: derkins/bear crawl to halfway/dry docks/crawl bear

R3: narrow squats/low shuffle/plié squats (these along with round one completed our FiA 8wk WC for the day 💪🏼)

R4: dips/high skips/dip jacks

R5: star jumps/karaoke/rocket jumps

R6: burpee w a broad jump/plank jacks

R7: smurf jacks/sprint/froggers

Once we finished we moseyed back to our mats for rounds of 38 count pax choice abs. We made it through ankle biters, and lbcs until Red Ryder and his F3 bros interrupted with a loud, and impressive 49 merkins in honor Crisco! #relationshipgoals!

Crisco shared the following song lyrics  during our COT:

Less Like Me by Zach Williams

I have days I lose the fight
Try my best but just don’t get it right
Well I talk a talk that I don’t walk
And miss the moments right before my eyes
Somebody with a hurt that I could have helped
Somebody with a hand that I could have held
When I just can’t see past myself
Oh Lord help me be
A little more like mercy’ a little more like grace
A little more like kindness’ goodness, love, and faith
A little more like patience’s a little more like peace
A little more like Jesus, a little less like me

Name-a-Rama and a quick photo and thus ended our co-q…until next time! Thank you for joining us!
