5 pax turned out for a soggy St Paddy’s Day workout. That was ok bc most of what I planned was under shelter and the rain wasn’t torrential when we were out in it.

We warmed up with the cadence counted jacks, high knees, butt kicks, and arm circles. We also did 5 inchworms.

Thang 1: limerick challenge with a SHAMROCK AMRAP. I paired up the pax. While one pair solved the limerick the rest was doing the SHAMROCK. Whichever partner solved the limerick first got to choose either to run the pickle in the rain or complete 10 burpees before their partner returned!  We did about 5 or so rounds of this. Here are the Shamrock exercises 15 HC for each:

  • Squats
  • Hallelujahs in a wall sit
  • American hammers
  • Merkins
  • Right/left step ups
  • O’circles (like a flutter kick but make a circle with your legs keeping them low)
  • Crunchy frogs
  • Knees to chest in low plank

Thang 2: Hunting for that pot o’ gold!

One person hid the orange cone somewhere around the pickle while pax did jumping jacks facing away. Pax then had to find the cone. Winner got to choose a 20-count exercise for everyone to do.

Round 1-we bear crawled to find the gold (20 Smurf jacks)

Round 2-lunge walk (20 Dorothys)

Round 3-sprint (20 dips)

Round 4-bunny hop (20 hillbillies)

Round 5-sprint (20 power knees)

Last we returned to the shelter to do inner thigh/glute work.

  • Elevated single leg hip thrusts
  • Twisted split squats
  • Elevated reverse hip thrusts
  • Elevated Bear hold donkey kicks
  • Donkey kicks
  • Fire hydrants
  • Rainbows 🌈
  • Side kickboxers at 45° angle (helium’s!)

That brought us to the end where I again forgot to do name-a-rama! But we collectively tried to remember the Irish blessing.
