What a glorious morning to be out Running and Stuff with FiA. Remember “You can only do what you can do. So keep doing it!” Deep thoughts by Bon Voyage (she probably stole it from someone on Instagram or Facebook).
Warm ups started in the parking lot at Hunter Street, we moseyed to the town building parking lot, did our Thang had a little time with Mary, moseyed back, Name-o-rama, COT and then we hit the road to have a great day.
Warm Ups: Good mornings, hang stretch, wide leg groin stretch and back warmup, arm circles, side stretches, High knees, jumping jacks, butt kickers.
THANG: 10 Pax was the perfect number for this. We split into two groups. 1 group did stuff and the other group ran the pickle until the stuff was done. Then switch.
Define ‘stuff’: Starting at one parking space line, do an activity to the next line, stop to do an exercise, do an activity back to the starting line, go two parking spaces, repeat, return, go three spaces…… you get the idea until you go 5 spaces.
Exercise combos that we did. Jog/jump squats (10 at each space)/jog, side shuffle/dips (10)/side shuffle, Lunge walk/ Merkins (10)/Lunge walk, Bear Crawl/Basketball shots (10)/jog
MARY: Curb Abs. 20 was the magic number. Balancing bottom on the curb with hands behind so that you are slightly leaning.
1. leg extensions (vsit style)
2. toe taps (hard count)
3. feet on ground, upper ab extension (vsit style)
4. plank fun with 10 counts at each position, plank, knee to elbow, switch.
