It was a beautiful morning to gather & work out together!
We began with a warm-up of stretches, then headed to the parking lot for the first exercise:
Event 1:
We formed 2 groups of 3 people each. We began a series of sprint/jogs with the other group participating in “waiting exercises”.
The first group sprinted to the end of the parking lot and jogged back while the 2nd group did 5 Squat Jumps, then the groups switched. We did 1 sprint/jog, then 2, up to 5 total, switching to waiting exercises in-between.
For each time the other group did a sprint, the 2nd group did the following “waiting” exercises:
– 5 Squat jumps
– 5 HC Mountain climbers
– 5 American hammers
– 5 Superwoman’s
– 5 Broad jumps
We took a sip of water at “home base”, then jogged to the library stairwell to begin…
Event 2:
We had 3 large wooden dice. One die had #’s 1-6 (stair level to climb), one die had 6 different exercises, and the 3rd die had reps from 10-35 for each face. We took turns rolling the dice and carrying out the various exercises on different levels of the parking garage. The exercise options were as follows:
– HC Lunges
– Squat Halleluiahs
– Big girl sit-ups
– Bicycle crunches
– Push-ups
-Dips
Afterwards, we jogged back to home base, did some light stretches and concluded with Name-o-rama & the following COT from Ina Garten’s memoir:
“Type A people can’t begin to think about what to do next. They need space and time for the universe to reveal what’s next.”
