First, it was pretty cold this morning, but absolutely beautiful!  Second, I rolled out of bed thinking about what we would be doing for a workout this morning and I was a complete mess rolling up to our workout – unprepared and frazzled trying to get there on time, but I was so happy to see 10 smiling, beautiful faces there to greet me this morning!  FiA Sisters really are the very best!

Anywho, after providing a whacked disclaimer we warmed up with –

  • Jumping Jacks – 20IC
  • Hillbillies – 20IC
  • Arm Circles – Small OYO
  • Arm Circles – Large OYO

After our warmup we started with 1 minute arm exercises with light weights –

  • Standing Dumbbell Fly
  • Overhead Press
  • Bicep Curl
  • Lateral Raise
  • Front Raise
  • Upright Row
  • Tricep Extension
  • Hammer Curl

Then we ran with our weights over to the Community Center to start our Triple Nickels….. Triple Nickels are 5 reps of 1 exercise run to another point do 5 reps of 1 exercise then return to starting point – Repeat until 5 sets of both exercises are complete.  I completely forgot that this morning, DOH!, but Mary Lou and Zia quickly reminded me when they kept going after the 3rd set…. 🙂

Triple Nickel #1 – Weights carried the whole time

  • Squat with Bicep Curl Combo
  • Lunge with Overhead Press Combo – HC

Triple Nickel #2 – Ran to the big hill carrying our weights, but we didn’t use them for this Nickel.  We did run up the big hill for exercise #2 and down the wooden path back to starting point.

  • Blastoff Pushup
  • Plank Jacks

Triple Nickel #3 – Kiosk to first curve on path – Weights used for entire set

  • Goblet Squats
  • Side Lunge – HC
